This round-up of Grain Bowls, also known as Buddha Bowls, Earth Bowls, Veggie Bowls, and Rice Bowls, introduces ways of incorporating vegetables, grains, and dressings into a single dish that will increase fiber, vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant intake. All of these recipes were created by Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs).
The bowls below are categorized by whether they include meat, are vegetarian, or are vegan. However, the beauty of bowls is that they are easily customizable. If a bowl below looks appetizing except for one or two ingredients, rest assured that the bowl will be just as delicious by eliminating or substituting the ingredients.
In fact, bowls are so easy to make, no recipe is needed. These RDN grain bowls serve as inspiration for first-time bowl makers as well as for those who are familiar with making bowls, but want to try something new.
Each of the bowls offer provide a balanced meal of protein, carbs, and healthy fats. Let us know which ones you try in the comments below. Enjoy!
